Hi,
I'm Gretchen!

Art is my passion. A world without art would be a boring life. Since I was young I've been illustrating and paying attention to detail. I was admitted into art shows, took Saturday art classes, and was a member of art clubs. I consider myself lucky to make a career out of my passion!

I studied at Ball State University with a major in Visual Communications and a minor in Graphic Arts Technology. One thing I learned about myself in college that remains true to this day, is that I tend to be a perfectionist when it comes to the quality and effort that I place into my work. The time I have now spent working in the field has taught me how to give my all to a project while meeting deadlines. Continuous growth and improvement within my career and skillset are two things I value deeply.

As I have matured my interests in the arts have broadened, which has helped me expand my creativity and sense of aesthetics. My goal is to continue creating meaningful art with a quality to match. My style is simplistic yet effective. Someday I want to travel the world and expose myself to different cultures and see their visual world to gain more inspiration and knowledge.

You can dream, create, design and build the most wonderful place in the world, but it requires people to make a dream a reality.

kid at heart

I try to not take life so seriously. There is so much to be grateful for and I try to pay attention to all the details happening around me. For instance, if you see me on the street I will most likely be drinking a Starbucks and looking all around with my sunglasses on (my green eyes are so sensitive to the sun!) I love to stop and take pictures of friends, nature, buildings, and of course the basic photo-ops whenever I can. You never know when inspiration will hit you!

Here's a fun fact about me: I used to work at Walt Disney World! I worked for the Disney College Program right after I graduated college. Let me tell you, I loved every minute of living at the "Happiest Place on Earth". It forced my introverted-self to become more extroverted, allowing me to open up with my communication skills as well as my willingness to say "Yes", which lead to more opportunities.

Since I am a kid at heart, I have a bubbly personality in the workplace. I take pride in my work and the business I work with. I always am willing to learn and expand my knowledge. I am hoping to learn more about coding soon so I can help with web design more often!
